Appointments
We make every effort to be available to schedule sick appointments for our patients on the same day. Please plan in advance to schedule your child’s well appointments so that they can be done at a time most convenient for you. If you need to cancel an appointment please give us as much advance notice as possible, preferably 24 hours, so that we can make that appointment available to another patient. We also make every effort to be on time for our appointments and we hope you will as well. Unfortunately unforeseen circumstances will occasionally get us off schedule. Please notify the receptionist if you have been waiting for longer then 15 minutes without an explanation. Our office has a policy that if you are more then 30 minutes late for a well appointment then the appointment may need to be rescheduled.
Insurance and Billing
We participate with many insurance plans. There are a few that we do not accept. Please check with your insurance company to be sure we are in your insurance network, or give the office a call.
Payment Options
We accept payment in cash, check, Visa or Mastercard. Payments and copayments are expected at the time of service. Please be sure to bring your current insurance card to your appointment. Please note that if our doctors are not the PCP or Primary Care Physician on the insurance card we may need to reschedule the appointment.
Facilities and Equipment
We understand how difficult it can be for families with small children to park and walk. Please take advantage of the valet parking that is available at no charge at the Main Hospital entrance. Tipping is not expected or permitted.
No one wants to sit with a well baby next to a sick child. Pine Grove Pediatrics offers separate sick and well waiting areas for our patients. If everyone with you is well, sign in at the reception desk and proceed to the well waiting room.

Telephone advice and after hours on call coverage
A doctor is on call after hours to address any urgent medical concerns you may have about your child. Please call our office phone number to have the doctor paged. Your phone call will be returned promptly.
For non urgent matters please call the office during office hours and a nurse will return your call. Nurses return phone calls between patients. If your child’s status changes or if you need to change the phone number where you can be reached please do not hesitate to call us back.
Prescription refills
Prescription refills are typically sent to the pharmacy by the end of the day. The best way to get the process started is to ask the pharmacy to contact us for the refill. Sometimes the nurses will want to talk to you to be sure that the medication is working properly and that there are no side effects or other concerns. If your refill is not yet at the pharmacy, please contact the office.
